Description Electronics.
The Visually Impaired Radio and Electronics Society aims to help visually impaired people in the UK into amateur radio, electronics and other related hobbies.   We exist primarily as a self help group and publish our own quarterly newsletter containing news, useful information and equipment reviews of interest to our readers.   We have a modest but growing membership of diverse interests and backgrounds.   VIRES has also become in association with others such as BCAB, an organisation that is actively pursuing access to electronic technology - anything from Digital Broadcasting to "White Goods". Although VIRES is a UK based membership organisation, this list is open to anyone (member or non-member) who is interested in radio and electronics that needs help, has advice, or wishes to join in the discussion.   We hope that by making the list open you will be able to see what we are about, something of the expertise we have within the group, and perhaps maybe you might want to become a member of VIRES yourself.
